  3. Dip. Court.  Unverified.  Not sure what what this is?  Should it be Dip. Justice, or Dip. of Court Operations?  Unverified, and subsequently unlikely to be real.

Election history

  1. 2008 - Individual councillor wards. Won in Merton Ward. Entered LCC on 35% of the primary vote. Result after preferences Gibson, Sharon 2721 / Dixon, Peter 1975.  
  2. 2012 - Change to multi councillor wards.  Won in West Ward on 33% of the primary vote, along with Gibbons, Peter (24% of the primary vote)
  3. 2016 - Multi councillor wards.  Won in West Ward on 28% of the primary vote, along with Law, Brad (50% of the primary vote).  Lambden, Guss enters the race against Gibson and receives 9% of the primary vote.
  4. 2020 - Multi councillor wards.  Won in West Ward on 36% of the primary vote, along with Law, Brad (27% of the primary vote)
  5. 2024 - Return to individual councillor wards.  Won in Newborough Ward.  Gibson was elected unopposed.

26 May 2025 - Gibson trashes community feedback and changes Governance Rules to remove checks and balances, and to allow fraudulent e-petitions.  Backed by Harriman, Pugsley and Barnes.  Campbell notably absent.

16 May 2025 - MAV votes on motion to denounce misinformation spread by Council Watch Inc and to support those councillors that are the victims of this abuse. Gibson is the LCC delegate.  [image 1040 - Gibson Hurlston].

24 Mar 2025 - During the council meeting, Gibson casts deciding vote to provide Harriman with $9,500 of ratepayer funds to go on a "European vacay".

24 Feb 2025 - Hansford uses a photo of him and Gibson to promote his Breakfast Show on Gippsland FM [image: 1037 - Gibson and Hansford].

2 Feb 2025 - Gibson attends Nuclear Power promo night, presented by Grace Stanke.  Harriman also in attendance.

16 Sep 2024 - MAV publishes article that includes Gibson receiving her 15 year service medal from MAV.

21 May 2024 - Article in the LV Express on circumstances surrounding her arrest and release without charge.

13 May 2024 - ABC publish a story of Gibson's brush with VicPol over the Traralgon letter drop.  Related Facebook post by ABC Gippsland.

10 Oct 2023 - Gibson on air with Renee Heath MLC on Gippsland FM criticising Dan Andrews for planning Commonwealth games in the regions.

19 Aug 2023 - Gibson joins the Gippsland Peoples Council closed Facebook group [image: 1035 - Gibson]

12 Jul 2023 - Gibson attends and supports timber rally organised by the Gippsland Peoples Council, and the Traralgon Community Development Association in the forecourt of GPAC.  Right-wing extremists like Richardson and Bergwerf also attend.  Subsequently, LCC close GPAC and institute tighter security at council meetings.

11 Nov 2022 - Launch of the "I'm going for Gibbo" campaign as an independent in the state seat of Morwell.

6 Oct 2022 - Gibson declares she is running in the 2022 State election as an independent.

5 May 2022 - Gibson is found to have engaged in misconduct, failing to treat council staff with “dignity, fairness, objectivity, courtesy, and respect".  Herald Sun calls Gibson "...a rude councillor".

2021 - Gibson continues as a Director and becomes Chairperson of Gippsland FM, serving alongside Hansford (Secretary) and Hogan (Treasurer).  Gibson, Hansford and Hogan disappear from the board the following year.

2020 - Gibson becomes a Director of Gippsland FM

6 Dec 2010 - Gibson elected Latrobe City Council Deputy Mayor.
